Neo Technology to Present Several Sessions at Oracle's JavaOne Conference

Neo Technology, creators of Neo4j, the world’s leading graph database, today announced that it will present several sessions at Oracle’s JavaOne conference, held from September 30 – October 4, in San Francisco, CA. Sessions will cover graph database technology, as well as related tools and applications.

Where to find Neo at JavaOne

Session: “How Do Atomic Data Structures Work?”

-- Presented by Tobias Lindaaker, Developer at Neo Technology
        -- Monday, October 1st, at 8:30 a.m. PT
-- Located at Hilton San Francisco, Golden Gate Room

Today most, if not all, applications operate in a multithreaded environment. Atomic data structures have the benefit of not blocking the accessing threads when used concurrently. This session demonstrates how this is made possible by looking at a few high-level atomic data structures, maps and queues, taking them apart and looking at what makes them work.

Session: “Uncovering Hidden Power Tools in the JDK”

        -- Presented by Tobias Lindaaker
        -- Monday, October 1st, at 10:00 a.m. PT
-- Located at Hilton San Francisco, Continental Ballroom 6

Come explore the hidden gems of the JDK -- knowledge usually reserved for tool authors. You will find that you don't have to be a tool author to benefit from being able to do deeper inspection of your applications and gain greater control of threads in your tests. This presentation will look at the tools developed by the Neo team for inspecting object graphs and memory layout, forcing race conditions in multithreaded tests, and discovering memory leaks.

Session: “What’s What in NoSQL?”

        -- Presented by Tobias Lindaaker
        -- Wednesday, October 3rd, at 11:30 a.m. PT
-- Located at Parc 55, Embarcadero Room

NoSQL is a very diverse space, because the only common denominator between these databases is that they don’t use SQL. Join us for a look at the differences between various kinds of current database technologies. This session will highlight how various popular database products fit into these categories, and will provide insight into when each of them is an appropriate solution.

Session: “Graphs Are Everywhere: Neo4j for the Enterprise and Beyond”

-- Presented by Emil Eifrem, CEO of Neo Technology
        -- Thursday, October 4th, at 12:30 p.m. PT
-- Located at Parc 55, Embarcadero Room

Emil Eifrem provides a close look at the graph model with Neo4j, the world’s leading graph database, with awesome Java support. Neo4j simplifies application development — resulting in shorter development times, lower maintenance costs, and higher performance. Prepare for a crash-course overview of the technology that is revolutionizing the use of connected data within the enterprise and beyond.
